Wat een zonde dat geen hollandse mandolineorkesten op het internet te vinden zijn, behalve die meelifters van Rotterdam. Wij zijn van Amati, mandolineorkest in den Haag, Holland. zie telefoonboek bij de A. How interesting to find an orchestra of mandolines in the usa. Hope you do well and promote the instrument intensly.

Love your website. As the producer of "Strings and Things" on KEMC public radio, I would love to receive any recordings you or any other visitors to your website may wish to send. We are the largest public radio station in the country, covering an area that takes eight hours to drive across; and that's in Montana where there is no speed limit! As a mandolin and mandocello picker, I applaud your continuation of the great mando-orchestra tradition. Best of luck. Hope to hear from you soon. And have fun at this year's Classical Mandolin Society meeting in Louisville!.

Greetings to LMO from colleague mandolin orchestra "Sloga" - Zagreb, Croatia This is a very interesting page. We might use it as an example for our own that's being prepared. Our orchestra has been playing mandolins for 130 years now. Mandolin came to us from neighbouring Italy (although a very similar native instrument - Tambura is still much more popular) and there are several mandolin orchestras in Croatia. We have two annual meetings. Our orchestra used to be similar to yours, but during war years in Croatia, it's lost some of members, financial support ... but we are recovering well. We play mostly classics, with a little bit of mediterranean influence. I suppose, my director Mr. Mladen Landau could be interested to exchange some of partitures if you like.
Sincerely, Tvrtko Cavar (2nd mandolin)!

Hello, Jim, Mike and the rest of you mandolin playing freaks. I'm sorry I couldn't perform with you and as fate would have it, I've had to return to the mountains of eastern Ky. I'm going to miss the big city but most of all the chance I had to play with you. Thank You for all the opportunities you gave me. I just really couldn't find that much time to make a steady commitment. I wish you all the best of luck and hopefully I'll see you performing in the city and others. I'm going to see Sam Bush tomorrow and maybe that will provide me with the inspiration to continue my study of the mandolin. Again, thank you!!! Peace and Love jesse ray wells.

Hey guys, I've seen your posts on CoMando and wanted to check in. This marriage of the net and Mandolin music sure is way cool! I get to play classical mandolin in a trio setting & it's extremely compelling, as well as playing in the Mandolinquents, a kind of bop/choro/rock/afro/folk group. I'd love to hear yáll - come to Vt. on your next road trip (I suggest the summer month(s)).
